Beggar at Rest

There is a faint arcades clangor

Picked up, dropped off

By the breeze

There is a bottle repeating

A quarter roll into a parking

Meter by the same

The million sputtering fish births

As rain burbling through

A screen

Is the ocean rippling finely

And the gulls

Skate its top

Flag whip, tarp snapping

Wind drumming through

The cracked window

The fuss of sand

Blown into everything

It crunches in your teeth

All energy leaves

Left it lives

In the burning after life

It continues it’s

Life of simplicity
